Allocate a trial subscription

This page explains how to manually allocate a trial subscription to a community from the MSSP workspace. Trials give community users temporary access to Defend Prime features for 45 days.

Prerequisites

  • You must have the Admin role on the workspace
  • You must have the following permissions: Read community licenses, Manage community licenses

Automatic trial availability

When you create a new community, a trial subscription is automatically made available. Manual allocation is only required if the trial was not automatically assigned or needs to be reassigned.

Allocate a trial subscription

  1. Navigate to your workspace and open the Subscriptions page.
  2. In the community list, locate the community you want to assign a trial to.
  3. Select the target community.
  4. Click Allocate trial.
  5. Review the trial details, then confirm the allocation.

The trial subscription is now active for the selected community. The community list updates to reflect the new trial status.

Trial specifications

The allocated trial runs for 45 days on the Defend Prime plan, with up to 1,000 assets, 7 days of hot storage, and no archiving.
